Agenda for 2019 Mid-Year Conference

North Carolina Moose Association – February 21/24, 2019

Sheraton Greensboro Hotel at Four Seasons – A No Smoking Facility

Instructions

  • The agenda should not only be informative, but enjoyable.
  • Smoking and consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited in all meetings
  • Hospitality rooms must remain closed during all meetings, workshops or meal functions.  Only registered members and qualified guests should be permitted in hospitality rooms.  “Non-registered” members do not qualify as guests.
  • The Association Liaison may receive information from departments at Moose Int’l to be distributed to the appropriate chairman or other person for inclusion in their presentation during the mid-year.
  • Presentations should focus on HOW to accomplish a task, improve a function or reach a goal, rather than merely state here’s the program, this is our goal, here is where we stand, and we have this much more to do.
  • Speakers going to the podium should be prepared in advance and have written report.  All reports should only be between 4-7 Minutes
  • Casual dress for attendees at meetings is permitted, but business dress (coats and ties) for Association Officers and All Presenters is recommended and should be required.
  • The Association Liaison/Territory Manager Adam East must review all presentations before they are given and must receive a copy of your presentation no later than February 13, 2019.  Ensure that all presentations conform to their allotted time.  Assign presenters who are capable of reading and/or speaking clearly, without fumbling and stuttering, and who can pronounce the words in their presentation.  Ad-libbing should be discouraged (if it wasn’t written and approved in advance, it shouldn’t be delivered from the podium).  The exception will, of course, be the remarks of the Official Visitors and the Regional Manager.
  • The structure of the entire conference, especially meaningful presentations and FUN, will continue to be the keys to increased attendance and participation at future meetings.
  • DGR Mittie Adams will (If Requested) coordinate time & location with for Moose O V to visit WOTM meeting.
  • Association Liaison/Territory Manager Adam East will coordinate time and location with DGR Mittie Adams for WOTM OV to address men’s general session.
  • Attendance Drawing Cards will be collected at all meetings and workshops and used to determine if Lodge was represented and if Governor and Administrators were present at each function.
